Yes. We know... it's been a while. The good news is: we're back at Champps this week for another Deck Party! We're mixin' it up and having a party on Sunday too! IndyScene.com and Stoli are hosting a Beach Party for the holiday weekend - Sunday, Sept 2 @ Bella Vita!
And our best wishes go out to Marc who is
still recovering from surgery earlier this month! He'll

08.08.07 Here's what's up....
First of all...we're not participating in the Battle of the Bands this Friday! If you want to go, there'll be some really good bands there, but we've got a lot going on personnel-wise.
We are now without a guitar player. Larry has decided to take some time to spend with family -- you can see clips of his last shows with us on our "Pictures" page! He's been a great addition to Living Proof the last 2.5 years and will be missed.
We have a new drummer! From Anderson, IN, we've recently hired Mr. Gary McCreary to play drums. Now, here's the scoop --- Caleb is still filling in with us for the time being because we've had another unforseen event affect us as well....
Marc, our bass player, had to undergo bypass surgery this week! He was going into the doctor for a routine check up, but ended up finding some blockages. Marc's surgery was on Monday, 8/6 and he's doing ok now but will be out of the lineup for several weeks.
Stepping in on a moments notice is Toye' Begbaaji, LPs
bass player prior to Marc joining the band in 05. So
help us keep
it together and wish Marc a SPEEDY and HEALTHY recovery!
07.20.07:: Prepare for Battle!
We'll be off this weekend -- at least not playing out -- so rest up for next weekend's busy schedule! In fact, we've got a really important date coming up that you need to mark down : Friday, August 10th: Prepare for Battle!

07.04.07:: Happy Holiday!
We hope everyone is keeping safe this explosive holiday season! Make sure you stop out this weekend -- we'll be at our favorite summer spot - Champps - on Friday, then we're playing a first-time venue for us on lucky 7 Saturday - Louie's Bar & Grill inside Pinhead's bowling! It's at about 141st and 37 in Noblesville!
06.17.07:: 4-3-2-1 = Busy Week
Well, we know there are some bands that only do music and play 5 or 6 shows a week; and that's not us. Unfortunately, we also have 8 - 5's, so when we do 4 shows in a row, it's something to write about - especially this week! How many times do you get a chance to play for both QBs that were just in the Super Bowl? Yeh, crazy....
4: (6/13: Indiana Roof) We had the priviledge of playing for the Indianapolis Colts and their families on Wed. night as they received their custom-made Super Bowl 41 Championship Rings. It was fantastic (not us, the event ;-). Sinbad was fabulous, Tony Dungy was as cool as he seems on TV, and Jim Irsay made sure everyone - including wives - in the organization got rings.
3: (6/14: BW3 Castleton) Yes, where we might some nice folks who were all "Witness" to the sweep of the Cleveland Caveliers from the NBA finals. We'll be back there on 6/28.
2:(6/15: Champps) Another beautiful evening on the Deck where Miller Lite provided the courage, and we provided the groove for friends to shake some tail feathers!
1:(6/16: Richmond, IN) We ventured down I-70E past all the Tom Raper RV signs to play at a private wedding. The event was very nicely put together and they were ALL ready to party. We knew some people there from previous shows, so it wasn't surprising to see this one 'familiar' guy walking around. It wasn't until later we realized this guy was Rex Grossman, Chicago Bears QB, who was cousins with the groom. Like we said -- crazy week.
06.09.07:: Thanks for coming out!
We had a great night on the Beach @ Bella Vita this weekend! Thanks so much for hangin' with us - the weather was great! We'll be back in August.

05.27.07:: Carb Day rain, Race Day clear!
This year's green flag for the Indy 500 was waved by Colts QB Peyton Manning. Early on, the race was threatened by rain in the morning, but the sun prevailed... UNLIKE what happened for our Carb Day show downtown on Friday!
Yep, it was a washout! The Franchize were set to play, but their equipment was sitting out under the 'covering' and got too wet. During the only dry window of the night (from about 9:30 - 11:00), we switched equipment and Living Proof was set up and ready to play. One problem -- the covering over the stage wasn't big enough to keep the generator equipment dry either, so it was too dangerous to turn on all that power & electricity.
Mother nature = 1, Father time = 0.
Disappointing to say the least. Hopefully, we'll get a chance to do a show with The Franchize soon.
05.17.07:: Get Ready for CARB DAY!
We've got some great shows coming up this summer! This weekend is no exception. Check us out at Champps and at the Indy Motor Speedway this weekend. While you're there - be sure to GET TICKETS for next weekends huge tent party!
Next Thurs (5/24) we'll be at BW3 Castleton for our first show there! What could be better than wings and.... uhhh... funk. Yeh, that's the combo. But then, next Friday (5/25) you gotta come downtown!
i'TS THE RALLY IN THE ALLEY --- And, we will be sharing the stage with one of the best hip hop groups in town, The Franchize. We hit the stage @ 9:30 - 12:00, so get your free tickets first though! Sponsored by Subterra Lounge and Coors!
04.22.07:: '300' wasn't just a movie...
As many of you know, we look for reasons to celebrate and have a good time. We're a band; it's our job. In fact, it's been our job for about 298 shows.
Yep. Living Proof is gonna be celebrating our 300th show on Friday, May 4th @ CT Pepper's (Broad Ripple)! We'll be giving away some of our new music and selling all kinds of new LP gear!
THEN. On Saturday, May 5th, we're making our first trip to Muncie for Cinco de Mayo! This show was just added yesterday! We'll be at Dill Street Bar & Grill! It's a two-story establishment with neon lights and industrial motif and huge picture windows facing "the village"!

We hope you have been keeping cool and
are enjoying a break in the hot temperatures. We've been
really busy and wanted to keep you posted!
Our 'work' actually started on Monday! Yes, the hottest day of the year! But, it was worth it as we got a chance to help open a new Starbucks store at Fall Creek and College. It's part of Magic Johnsons' joint venture with Starbucks to stimulate growth in urban communities across the country. Although is was hot, we had a great time and it was awesome to meet Magic.
Wednesday we played in the heart of downtown for the "Market After Hours" Concert Series put on by Ann McWilliams and the City Market. We had a great time and the weather couldn't have been better.
For the second year, Living Proof is privileged to be part of a great fundraiser with Fox59 and Prevent Blindness Indiana. This is a family fun walk, at Victory Field, with games, prizes, food and music, followed by an amazing Laser Light Show. Living Proof will play from about 6:00 to 8:00. The Walk begins at dusk (approximately 8:45 pm) and the Laser Light Show begins immediately following the Walk. This event supports a great cause and is open to the public so..... join us if you can.

Thanks to all of you who stopped by
to see us at the Pacer game on Saturday! We had a great
time with all of the fans and had fun "struttin" it with
Boomer and Bowzer. Thank you Rizing Star Entertainment for
inviting us.
We have busy weekend coming up with another Living Proof tri-fecta scheduled. This Friday 5/6 we will be back on the west side at the Ultimate Sports Bar, Saturday we visit the great folks at Kelly's Grille and then Sunday, (yes Sunday) we will be at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The weather forecast looks great......some good music, a little sunshine and fast cars would make for a great Mother's Day afternoon!!!

Last week we had a chance to play two
new venues for us -- The Claddagh Irish Pub (96th street)
and Kelly's Grille (116th). We had a GREAT time at
both places and it was nice to meet some new people in addition
to seeing some old faces!! Thanks to the folks at
the Claddagh and Kelly's for inviting us out -- and to Lisa
Sauce for setting it up!

We had a great time performing at the
Sunnyside Elementary Family Fun Festival. It was awesome
to see all the family support. A big thank you to Laura
Vest and Carla Horton for all of your help! And of course.....the
biggest thank you goes out to the Sunnyside kids that were
inducted into the Living Proof Solid Gold Dancer Club!!!

Our drummer for almost two years, Tony
Spector, has joined another band and performed with us for
the last time at the Ultimate Sports Bar. Tony laid the
beat down for us, was a great band member and we will miss
him. We wish him the best of luck.
